My daughter was and is still like that. She needs less sleep than other kids. Keep an eye on him and if it appears to be an issue where he seems tired or cranky during the day due to lack of sleep, then you might want to talk to your pediatrician. I did talk to mine and was reassured, but I definitely understand. I wish my daughter would sleep more, but she just doesn't sleep much. My son sleeps much more. Similarly, my husband sleeps more than I do. Sometimes it is a personal trait. Just be sure that your son is happy and alert when he's awake. He might not need as much sleep as you expect.

Hello Mighty Mom:
I really like your tips on this episode. Since my first son turns to toddler. Dozing method doesn't work anymore. He opens his eyes right after I put him in the crib. Now he falls in sleep deeply around 11:pm. I am so worried that the late sleep will affect his growth. He's fifteen months, how many hours should he sleep per day ? He plays more than sleep. He just takes on 10 hrs to sleep. I am appreciated any tips/helps from you. Thank you very much.
