The problem with these games is that they all tend to have an inordinate amount of luck, or you need to be very cunning or tricky to win. I am really thankful though to have discovered European Board games as they are more strategic and less based on luck and great for all ages. We played everything from Hi-Ho Cherry-O at about 4 years old; to Life and Monopoly when they got older. I am not sure what the favorite game was for either. One is now 27, the other 19. The game that was the most fun was "Bonkers". My daughter beat me by the whole score board on that game once; I kept having to go to the "Lose" space and had I added each lose I got, she would have beat me about 24 points that day; we laughed so hard I thought we would get hernias from that experience, and that was an unmatched day by any of our board game days before or since! They love the attention you give them, board games cost nothing to play, and the moments from them are priceless memories for you and your children!
